David Fárek is an excellent sax player, my dear friend and colleague. I’ve been collaborating with him for almost 15 years and he has been one of my closest music colleagues while taking part in at least 5 of my original music projects/albums. When my “Duo project” crossed my mind, David was a clear choice. He is not only a brilliant sax player, he is also an inventive improviser.
When thinking about repertoire, I decided for some of my older pieces we even played together many years ago plus I composed new ones.
As soon as the situation gets better I really look forward to playing this repertoire together. But who knows… We might record it at the studio first.
